This Nike commercial "My better is better" by Wieden and Kennedy, Portland, definitely classifies as art. It is based around the love of competition and is based around sports and athleticism. I think that the choice of music and the layout of the commercial is what makes it art. There are so many different camera angles used and lighting focuses, which were so carefully planned out. Each movement gracefully moved effortlessly to the next incorporating the "better phrases" in the foreground. I love this commercial because Wieden and Kennedy does such a great job of making the consumer want to buy Nike athletic gear. Showing normal people pushing themselves to their maximum potential is what this commercial is about. It's raw and personable qualities help define it as art. Art is a very personal and private subject that is geared differently toward each individual. This commercial targets consumers as individuals. It focuses on stressing YOUR personal best and how YOU personally can push yourself to do greater rather than having a broad focus, which has far of a lesser impact on an audience.
